Take your pick from the 9-hole Desert Course, the 9-hole Lakes Course or the 9-hole Sands Course, each offering its own distinct landscape and challenges.

For adventurers willing to venture outside city limits, explore the dramatic landscape and unbeatable views at Killpecker Sand Dunes, located just north of Rock Springs. Here, hiking, ATVing, exploring and playing Frisbee are must-try experiences.

Indoor Recreational Activities

For heart-pumping action indoors, look no further than the Rock Springs Civic Center, where a 56-foot indoor climbing wall will test the limits of climbers of all skill levels. Problem-solve your way across climbing challenges such as the top-to-bottom crack, various overhangs and the bouldering cave. Not into climbing? Take your pick from an array of other recreational activities at the recreation center, from racquetball to swimming to group fitness classes.

Visitors with kids in tow won’t want to miss the Rock Springs Family Recreation Center where a family fun center of indoor recreational activities awaits. Go for a swim at the state-of-the-art aquatic area where you can float down the lazy river, splash and play in the spray water area or just relax in the therapy pool. Or, teach the kids how to play a game of basketball, volleyball or racquetball in one of the courts. During the winter, rent a pair of skates at the pro shop (or bring your own!), and glide across the full-size ice skating rink.
