Stop at stage stations less than an hour north and west of Green River along the old Pony Express Route, including the Granger Stage Station Historic Site in Granger and the Green River Pony Express Station near the Lombard Ferry, which itself was a popular river-crossing point for many trails. Witness one of the crossroads of the pioneer trails, including the Mormon Trail, California Trail, Oregon Trail and Cherokee or Trappers’ Trail, at the Fort Bridger State Historical Site. Hear the tales of the daring souls who settled in these wild lands at Rock Springs and Green River’s historic museums.
